Attracting Butterflies to Your Garden and Yard via Zoom

Lepidopterist Victor DeMasi takes you on a virtual sunny day walk through his pollinator meadow in Redding, Connecticut.

Along the way, you will view some of the rare and common species he has seen there in 40 years of stewardship. He discusses how a butterfly garden promotes a diversity of pollinators. He also looks at the importance of insects to our well-being, and the role of butterflies in our changing environment with regard to issues such as climate change and invasive plant species. The complex demise of the Monarch butterfly is also covered.

Register via the library’s website calendar or call the library at (845)351-2207. Registrants will receive an email shortly before the program with information on how to attend via zoom.
