Kits available starting Monday, July 27th
To celebrate America 250, try your hand at making Johnnycakes! One of the oldest known colonial recipes, and described as George Washington’s favorite breakfast. Johnnycakes date back to the 17th century. They were famously included in Amelia Simmons’s American Cookery (1796), the first known cookbook authored by an American. Register to receive your own kit, which includes all the nonperishable ingredients you’ll need to make them at home.
Limit one kit per family. Patrons have 7 days to pick up their kit. If unclaimed, the item goes to the next person on the waitlist.
