The Tuxedo Park Library strives to ensure that everyone is welcome and has access to the full range of information, services, and programs offered at the Library.
The Library building is accessible to people using wheelchairs and offers assistive technology for those with hearing and/or vision loss. See below for specific information on what is available.
Assistive Technologies
The Library provides a variety of devices so patrons with disabilities have easier access to in-house resources. We offer noise cancelling headphones, a large print keyboard, a ball mouse, and a large magnifier.
Our public workstations are equipped with Magnifier, Narrator and On-Screen Keyboard software.
Coming Soon: Assistive translation device (TranslateLive tablet) for Real-time Translation and ASL (American Sign Language) Interpretation.
Talking Book and Braille Service
Through the New York State Talking Book and Braille Library (TBBL), patrons can access to a collection which includes print Braille books, and fiction and nonfiction audio and braille books, with over 70 magazine subscriptions available as well. Large Print Books
Large Print Books may be borrowed on-site with a Tuxedo Park Library card. Currently, there are 339 Large Print Books in the collection (66 titles are new fiction, 7 are non-fiction, and 4 are Children’s). New Large Print Books are located on the main floor. All Children’s Large Print Books are as well. The older Large Print Books are located downstairs.
